Edmunds GovTech, Inc. Acquires BRT Technologies
NORTHFIELD, NJ – Edmunds GovTech, Inc. (EGT), a leading provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solutions for local government, has acquired BRT Technologies (“BRT”), a New Jersey-based software company specializing in property tax assessment and mass appraisal solutions. The combination brings together two trusted names in local government technology under one shared mission: delivering the most complete tax software and service platform. BRT will continue to provide the same level of support and dedication, serving both current and future clients.
BRT has built a strong reputation by providing leading products focused on property assessment, MOD IV, and CAMA. For decades, EGT has delivered ERP, financial management, utility billing, and citizen services solutions to local governments across the United States. Bringing the companies together results in a fully integrated tax and financial suite for New Jersey municipalities, with a nationwide reach.
The merger is designed to strengthen the tools and support that customers in New Jersey and other States rely on every day. In the near term, customers can expect:
- Continuity and enhancements of the products and services used today
- A combined product roadmap focused on assessment, billing, and collections workflows
- Dedicated support throughout the transition
- Opportunities to share feedback as the combined platform takes shape, starting with an automated MOD IV update to MCSJ Tax Billing & Collections
“Bringing BRT Technologies into the Edmunds GovTech family is a natural fit, as both of our companies have spent decades serving New Jersey’s local governments,” shared Bob Edmunds, CRO of Edmunds GovTech. “BRT has earned the trust of assessors and tax administrators across the state, and their expertise in assessment, MOD IV, and CAMA complements what EGT delivers in tax billing, collections, and financial management. Together, we can offer municipalities a truly complete tax software and service platform. I am extremely happy to welcome both the employees and customers of BRT Technologies to Edmunds GovTech.”
“Our products were created by New Jersey tax assessors and administrators, for New Jersey tax assessors and administrators, so choosing the right partner for our next chapter was essential,” said Brian Schneider, President of BRT Technologies. “EGT shares our commitment to New Jersey municipalities and to the people who rely on our software every day. Our customers can count on the same products, the same support, and the same team they know today. With EGT’s resources and a combined roadmap focused on modernizing assessment, billing, and collections workflows, we’re positioned to keep doing what we’ve always done: make things better for our clients.”
